Prepare for Launch: Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum team up for an out-of-this-world journey in July.

The upcoming film starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum has locked in a release date for next year. Previously known as Project Artemis, the untitled movie will hit US theaters on July 12, 2024. While a UK release date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that the film will debut on the same date internationally.

Although specific details about the plot have not been disclosed yet, it is known that the film will take place during the space race era.

Written by Rose Gilroy and helmed by Arrowverse’s Greg Berlanti, this movie underwent a change in directors when Greg replaced the original director, Jason Bateman. Tatum was brought in to replace the initial star Chris Evans, who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Apart from Johansson and Tatum, the cast includes Woody Harrelson from True Detective, Jim Rash from Community, Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond, Ana Garcia from Superstore, and Donald Elise Watkins from The Underground Railroad.

The group includes Leo’s Noah Robbins, The Continental’s Colin Woodell, Orange is the New Black’s Nick Dillenburg, and Shameless’ Christian Zuber.

Recently, Johansson addressed speculation about her potential comeback as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I’m not sure how that would play out, would it end up being a zombie movie?” she quipped during her appearance on The Today Show, discussing her character’s demise.

You know, I think it’s possible that [Endgame] was the end. I can’t imagine how they could possibly recover from that. It would have to be a miracle. A true Marvel miracle. But hey, who knows, anything is possible in the Marvel universe.
